The purpose of the PS-TOP (Production Schedule - Thermal Optimization Process) is to optimize the scheduled coils organization, and thus to define the best sequence for a set of coils in accordance with a selection of chosen criteria:
- Minimize the use of dummy coils. If a dummy coil may be needed, the software will give a warning
- Minimize the risk of heat buckles during transient situation (especially in case of width increase)
- Minimize the number of hard transient situations, like cold/thin to hot/thick changes for example
- Take into account coil times constraints
- Take into account oil constrains
