Annealing and pickling lines are used for the treatment of hot rolled (HAPL) and cold rolled (CAPL) stainless steel strip. The work-hardened strip requires annealing and surface scale removal both for the hot and cold rolled material.

In cooperation with leading terminal equipment suppliers CMI Chemline has a long history of supplying continuous pickling lines for stainless steel. The optimum design of our chemical process section consists of a combination of electrolytic and mixed acid pickling. The highly flexible design allows the line to adapt to the specific processing requirements of each steel grade, adjusting rapidly to operational parameters and varying acid concentrations involved in the pickling of different types of austentic, ferretic and martensitic stainless steels. Operating efficiently while maintaining top quality in light-gauge stainless steel and specialty metals requires close attention to detail, a challenge that has been fully met by our engineers.
