CMI Thermline offers for horizontal and L-shaped furnaces dedicated to CGL & CAL: the Best Available Technologies for heating (non oxidizing direct flame burners, high efficient recuperative burners, P or I shaped tubes), cooling (dry cooling with self stabilizing patented Blowstab® or Ultra-Dry cooling™ with pentane) and furnace mathematical models LH-TOP®

 CMI Thermline offers the exclusive combination of:

  • All fiber N.O.F. when required for selective oxidation or for investment cost reduction
  • Most reliable and efficient R.T.F. with combustion B.A.T. : self Recuperative burners with P or I- shaped tubes ( ≥ 77% efficiency versus 60-65% for conventional)
  • Patented cooling devices:
    • Blowstab® jet coolers which is the benchmark for jet cooling for many steelmakers in terms of cooling performance (up to 70°C/s) and strip stability
    • Blowstab® coolers for customized APC towers, without any vibration risk
    • Exclusive Ultra-Dry cooling™ with pentane (up to 600°C/s without strip oxidation).
  • Clever furnace control thanks to level 1, patented mathematical model LH-TOP®, tele-maintenance, remote control and assistance on process
  • Customized furnace layout : 1 or 2 passes, L-shaped, by-passable vertical soak
  • Multi-purpose furnace: wide range of possible widths, thicknesses, GI/GA, GI/GL, FH/HR/CQ/../EDDQ/DP/HSLA
  • All grades produced from Full Hard qualities up to Advanced High Strength steels for CGL
  • High productivity (100 tph for CGL)
  • Up to 1650 mm wide, and 4mm thickness
  • Exposed and non exposed qualities
  • Energy reduction (up to 30% v.s. competition evidenced by revampings)
  • Productivity increase (evidenced by up to 38% increase on competitor fces revamping)
