CMI Thermline has developed a concept of Thermal sections for CCL which gives answers to all the today concerns of Coated Coils Producers, from Production Costs to Productivity

 CMI Thermline offers the exclusive combination of:

  • LECO : Progressive Convective Drying, in order to success any kind of Coating type, at any possible CCL output
  • LECO : High performances Thermal Oxidizer, allowing to continuously match with European Norms of Emission at Stack
  • LECO : Combination of Regenerative and Convective batteries, in order to moderate as much as possible the energy consumption
  • LECO : Optimized Insulation and Thermal Inertia, in order to reach the best flexibility of operation (transient phases, restart phases)
  • LECO : Possible final Heat Recovery before stack, through Hot Water or Steam Production
  • LECO : Reliable technical measure for any risk for operators and equipments
  • High performing Cooling sections: anti-scratches devices, low Demi Water consumption, easy maintenance solutions, 100% drying Squeegee systems, …
  • Clever furnace control thanks to level 1, tele-maintenance, remote control and assistance on process
  • Customized furnace layout : 1 or 2 passes, passes by-passable, optional pretreatment coating
  • Combination of CGL with CCL
  • Multi-purpose Oven : wide range of possible widths, thicknesses, Coatings, Solvents, …
  • Energy reduction : the recovered power is 2 X the possible kW of conventional Convective Technology
  • LECO Cost per ton : the energy input is reduced strictly to the process need, i.e. steel heating. So, can be 100% electricity if needed.
  • LECO Flexibility : less than half an hour is need to be ready for restart after 8 hours of shut down
  • LECO convective Ovens provide continuously homogeneity and strip stability
  • No quality reduced when entering the cooling section after Curing
  • Continuous match with European Standard for Stack Emissions (CO, NOx, CO2, BTX, …), without any peak due to Incineration Cyclic Process
  • Cost per tons : the energy input saving is between 20% and 60% with LECO, depending on alternative technology considered
  • Lost power (stack, cooling water, heat losses) : between 10 and 50% of reduction with LECO, depending on alternative technology considered
  • Up to 2MW of power recoverable before the stack for Hot Water or Steam production
