Power to Meet your Challenges!

CMI specializes in the design, supply, assembly and commissioning of various kinds of steam generators:

  • Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSGs) installed behind gas turbines of all capacities (from 30 to 280 MW+). CMI HRSGs represent key equipment for efficiently meeting the growing requirements of combined cycles power plants and cogeneration units.
CMI technologies continuously respond to, and even anticipate ever-more-demanding market requirements for power, efficiency and flexibility. CMI proposes steam generators with natural, assisted and once through circulation, vertical and horizontal configuration, hot and cold casing design, from single to four-wide configuration and ISCC boilers (Integrated Solar Combined Cycles), etc.
  • Thermo-solar boilers, generating steam from concentrated sunrays and adapted to the solar tower and the parabolic trough techniques.

For each equipement, CMI also provides services such as technological audits and expertise, maintenance, revamping and repair.

Moreover, CMI specializes in other activities related to power generation, such as nuclear power and wind power.

  • Vertical or horizontal HRSGs
  • Natural, assisted circulation or Once Through evaporators
  • Single, dual, triple, four pressure with or without reheat
  • Natural gas, light, heavy or crude oil
  • Once Through Boilers – Benson patent
  • Supplementory firing with or without fresh air
  • ASME code, PED, EuroNorm, IBR, and any other international codes
  • Various prefabrication designs according to customer or site requirements
  • Optimized solutions
    • HRSG flexibilty : CMI HRSGs are well-adapted to frequent power plant start-ups and shutdowns
    • Quick start-up with gas turbines up to 30 MW/min
    • High steam temperature up to 600°C
  • With equivalent CO2 emissions, a combined cycle power plant can produce 50% more electricity than a conventional thermal power plant.
  • Renewable power supply such as wind and solar implies high power grid fluctuations and conventional power plants have to compensate. Thanks to their flexibility, gas-steam combined cycle power plants are, therefore, the perfect alternative to renewables.

10 new CMI HRSGs in Saudi Arabia

In late December, 2011, CMI Energy reported a new order for the design and supply of ten heat recovery steam generators (HRSGs). These vertical configuration boilers will be installed behind Siemens SGT6-2000E turbines.

Eleanore project launched

3E, Alstom Grid, CG, CMI, DEME Blue Energy, Eurogrid International and SAG bring their engagement to foster the development of future offshore grids in Europe one step further.
